Solatube's Stylish, Low-profile Ventilation Design
The Solatube Ventilation Add-On Kit for the Solatube 160DS Skylight Kit is designed for exceptional style and performance. When the 160DS is combined with this innovative accessory, the 2-in-1 ceiling fixture minimizes ceiling penetrations for a more attractive look.Proprietary technology uses twin fan motors with opposing rotations to overcome static pressure and increase the speed and volume of airflow.
The in-line fan motors can be mounted away from the ceiling fixtures for quieter performance. Blends with any decor.
Solatube recommends installing the ventilation kit using 4" insulated ducting. (The Ducting is sold separately.)
Note that the ventilation add-on kit has no SOMES rating, as the motor will be near the roof. Thus, the decibel level will depend upon the distance from the roof to the ceiling, the ceiling's acoustic properties, and the space to be daylighted/vented.
