Solatube 20" Extension Tube

$74.98

Solatube Spectralight Infinity extension tubes are required when the kit doesn't include enough infinity light tubes to attach the top dome on the roof to the light diffuser in the ceiling.

Solatube's Spectralight Infinity technology uses a patented process to maximize the reflectivity of the tube material, providing up to 99.7% reflectivity. This means more light, brighter spaces, and greater energy savings.

Solatube Spectralight Infinity Extension Tube - 20" Length, Includes Tape & Screws (Single)

Our extension tubes are designed to enhance the performance of your Solatube daylighting system, allowing natural light to penetrate into even the darkest corners of your interior spaces. With unrivaled performance, these extension tubes maximize the amount of light delivered while minimizing heat gain and loss.

A little bit about the total and net Spectra Infinity light tube assembly lengths.

The top dome on the roof deck has a 12.5 angle adapter tube that penetrates the roof deck, and the light diffuser in the ceiling has a 12.5 angle adapter tube that penetrates the ceiling. Each angle adapter can be angled in any direction up to 45 degrees.

Angle adapter tubes net lengths on the underside of the plane they penetrate (roof deck and ceiling) depends on the thickness of the roof deck and ceiling.

Because the roof and ceiling penetrations may not always be directly above and below one another, the angle adapter tubes can point to their corresponding penetration up to 45 degrees. This enables the infinity light tube assembly to begin pointing toward the other penetration as soon as it penetrates the roof deck or ceiling, potentially eliminating the need for a 0-to-90-degree elbow within the assembly.

On average, the total length of the infinity light tube assembly is about 58". This includes two 12.5" angle adapter tubes that penetrate the roof deck and ceiling plus two 20" extension tubes. Their sum total is 65" linear, but depending upon the thickness of the roof deck and the ceiling each angle adapter's length is practically reduces plus the fact that there must be at minimum of 1' overlap between extension tubes to attach them, it is reasonable to subtract about 7" or more from the 65" total length to reasonably estimate your infinity light tube assembly's net length.
