All canceled orders will have a 3% (credit card transaction fee) deducted from the refund. As soon as an order is placed on our e-commerce platform, Eco Building Products is charged ~3% to process the sales transaction. Please don’t place an order on our website unless you are absolutely sure that you intend to keep it. If you place an order and cancel it, your refund will only be 97% of the amount you paid.

If color selection is of the utmost importance, be sure to order samples so that you can see the color with your naked eye before you make your selection. Do not base your color selection on color as it is displayed on a digital device like your cell phone screen or your computer screen.

Digital screens do not accurately display actual colors. Eco Building Products will not accept electronic images as valid proof for color discrepancy claims.

If you need expedited shipping, you must select one of these options when you are processing your order in our shipping cart. If your order is made by 11am EST chances are best that the order will ship out that same day. If the order is not in stock, expedited orders will be delayed. 

From Nov. 15th to April 15th, Eco Building Products (EBP) takes the following steps to reduce the risk of your waterborne product arriving frozen. The ship cycle must be complete before a weekend or holiday to avoid the product sitting in an unheated space. The product will not be shipped if the temperature forecast does not reach at least 20°F through its path to destination. You may bypass our Winter Shipping Policy if you select an expedited shipping method. Doing so, shifts the liability from EBP to you. So, if the product arrives frozen EBP will not refund you.  All expedited orders must be received by 11am EST, at the latest. Carriers do not guarantee delivery on the weekends, so an expedited delivery option on a Friday may not be a prudent choice.  

Our shipping rates are calculated real time by UPS. We reserve the right to select a more efficient or expedient alternative, if possible. If you require a specific shipper, please contact us to arrange for it. UPS calculations are based upon your order's shipping origination, destination, density of package and your chosen method of delivery. Occasionally, shipping rates are miscalculated, so feel free to contact us to confirm cost if you feel the shipping cost is miscalculated.  

Standard Shipping

Because our headquarters is located in a small village in the northwest corner of Michigan's  lower peninsula, we ship from 17 different warehouses strategically located throughout mainland USA. Some warehouses manage more orders than others, so packaging and handling times differ from warehouse to warehouse. We do not guarantee that your order will be shipped the same day. However chances are best if your order is received by 11am EST on weekdays. Most of our warehouses ship within 24-48 hours of its order date unless it is out of stock. We will inform you quickly, if it is. For out of stock orders, see Back Order information below. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.  

Commercial Shipping

Our website is set to calculate shipping for parcel delivery to residential address. If your goods will be packaged onto a pallet, our shipping calculator will not be using the correct data to accurately calculate your order's shipping cost. To qualify for reduced rate to a commercial destination, it must have either a loading dock or forklift on site to eliminate the cost of a lift gate. Chances are good that our website's cost for palatized goods will be reasonable to a legitimate commercial destination. If you choose to execute an order that will be shipped on a pallet to a commercial destination, we may contact you to arrange for delivery and adjust shipping cost, if necessary. 

International Shipping

Website shipping rates are for orders within the continental United States. Please contact us for international and specialty rates.

In-stock products typically ship within 24-48 hours of order date unless the order was placed over the weekend. Out-of-stock items will be shipped immediately after they are restocked. We source all of our product directly from the manufacturer or is sole distributor, so if we are out of stock, mostly likely every other retailer is too. The amount of time required to restock products varies tremendously, ranging from one day to three months. We will email you if the item that you ordered is out of stock. You will be given the option to place it on Back Order, if you wish. Our Back Order policy enables you retain your valuable place in the Back Order queue so that when the item is restocked, your order gets fulfilled first. Orders at the back of the queue may not be fulfilled immediately if the orders in the queue exceed the quantity restocked. Our Back Order policy enables you to retain your valuable space in the queue while you shop elsewhere. So, if you can find what you want elsewhere while your order is in our Back Order queue, you may cancel your order for 3% of your total price to cover the cost of your bank card's transaction fee.  

Website orders that are made on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays will ship within 24-48 hours of the first official business day.

Common carriers do not guarantee shipping delivery dates. Commercial destinations with loading docks and/or forklifts are ideal and goods can be offloaded expeditiously. Tractor trailers will do their best to deliver as close to the storage space as possible, but the driver is not required to carry your goods into it final destination at a home or business. If the receiver requires “white glove” service that is not already built into the original freight quote, the driver may opt to charge extra for delivery. If EBP is billed over and above the carrier's original quote, you will be charged for the additional on-site “white glove” service

DO NOT sign for or accept damaged goods. Thoroughly inspect your packages, especially porcelain toilets, sinks and lavatories before your driver departs. If damage has incurred, even a hairline fracture, reject the damaged item and contact us immediately so that we can ship you a replacement. You waive your right to collect a refund on your order, if you sign for, and accept goods that were damaged during delivery.

If you ordered a water borne product and selected GROUND shipping but don’t want to wait for ideal shipping conditions before we ship, you may: simply cancel your order or you may opt to upgrade your shipping selection from ground to a more expeditious means of shipping for the cost to upgrade. Please call or email us with your shipping instructions. We will let you know the cost to ship it. If part, or all, of the order arrives frozen despite the shorter transit time, you must bear the cost to replace the frozen product.

Goods Damaged during Transit Require Filing A Claim with  the Carrier 

If you receive a package from that appears to be damaged, please follow these steps to report and resolve the issue:

1. Inspect Your Package

  • Upon Delivery: Carefully check your package and its contents as soon as you receive them. 
  • Damage Notification: If you notice any damage, you must report it immediately (no later than 14 days of delivery). 

2. Document the Damage

  • Take Photos: Capture clear photos of the damaged package, the damaged item(s). Be sure to the shipping label in your photos. 
  • Keep Packaging: Retain the damaged package and all original packaging materials for inspection. Do not discard your damaged product or its packaging until the claim has been inspected by the carrier.

3. Email Eco Building Products immediately

  • As soon as EBP is informed of your damaged goods, we will start the process of filing the claim and replacing your order immediately. sending your  
  • Required Information: Provide the following details: 1) Tracking number 2) Description of the damage, and 3) Photos of the damaged package and contents 

4. Prepare for Inspection

  • Retain Items: The carrier may request an inspection of the damaged package and its contents. Ensure you keep everything in its original state until the carrier completes the inspection. 

5. Claim Resolution

  • Review Process: Eco Building Products will do its best to replace your order as soon as possible. Occasionally, product replacement can not be completed until the claim with the carrier has been resolved. If additional information is required or further steps on your behalf are required, we will inform you immediately. If we are unable to replace or refund your order immediately, you will be notified of the carrier's resolution as soon as possible.  

6. Understand Liability

  • Liability Limits: The carrier liability for damaged packages is not unlimited.

Pricing Policy:

Errors may occur in website pricing. We reserve the right to correct these errors even after a product has been shipped.

Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel your order by 2 pm EST on the day you placed your order, you will not be charged a 3% credit card transaction fee. If, however, you cancel your order after 2 pm the day of your order, you will be charged the 3% transaction. To be sure that you have effectively canceled your order by 2 pm the same day, please call to confirm your cancellation, if you simply emailed your cancellation. 

Packaging Materials:

We do not purchase styrofoam packing materials, but we may reuse them when we receive them. We package our products with rapidly renewable, bio-degradable and reused materials. You may also receive your products in slightly used boxes as well.

Eco Building Products (EBP) only collects and pays sales tax for customers in states in which it has nexus (required to collect and pay sales tax). If your product was purchase from our website free of sales tax, most likely you are required to pay use tax for this purchase to your residential state in lieu of the sales tax EBP didn't charge you. Details of how to pay your use tax and how to file these returns may be found at the websites of your respective taxing authorities.

Returns:

All returns must be received within 30 days upon receipt of the products to be eligible for a refund. Merchandise must be in salable condition. Please contact us before returning an item for specific return instructions. You must arrange to pay for your shipping. Returns may be subject to a 25% restocking fee. Returns received damaged, or not in compliance with the instructions above will not be refunded.

Replacements:

We will be happy to ship replacement of ordered items if the product is defective, if the product has been damaged during shipping, or if the wrong item was shipped. If we cannot replace the item for any reason, we will refund you unless special circumstances prevent full or partial refund. If your goods arrive damaged, please reference our damaged good paragraph above for instructions.  

Refunds:

If you wish to return a product for refund, we have a 25% restocking fee, thus we can refund 75% of the material cost (shipping not refundable). Please note that most flooring materials, structural materials, renewable energy systems and any products with customization are non-refundable unless damaged or defective. 

Eco Building Products will not share your personal information or email address with a third party, except for Shopper Approved, a legitimate and well respected review and rating collection platform on the internet. Email addresses provided for the newsletter are used only in association with Eco-Building Products’ news and promotions.
