Found in the ACCESSORY TAB, there are 9 accessories that can be purchased to upgrade to any existing Solatube Skylight Kit.
No pitch metal flashing is used on roofs with little to no pitch. Flat roofs and roofs with pitches between 0:12 and 3:12 The tubes attached to the top dome (known as Angle Adapter Tubes) on your roof and the light diffuser in your ceiling are 12.5" in length. They're called angel adapter tubes because they can angle up to 45 degrees after they have penetrated the plane. So the start of your sun tunnel can be pointed toward the other penetration, which may not be located directly above or below its corresponding penetration.
The total length of the two tubes and each angle adapter tube depends on the thickness of the roof deck and the ceiling. On average, these two angel adapter tubes provide for about 20" of tubing to connect to one another. If your roof deck penetration is greater than 20" from your ceiling penetration, we recommend that you purchase either a 20" extension tubes, or a 24" 0-90° to elbow (for navigating around rafters and/or other obstacles) to connect the two tubes together.
Solatube Light Add On Kit: When equipped with a light add on kit, the Solatube Daylighting System provides the convenience of a switched light for night time use. Adding a light to your Solatube means you will always have the light you need. Available in Compact Fluorescent and Incandescent. Bulbs are sold separately. Light Add-on Kits do not include extension tubes. Bulbs are 23W (4-pin connector) for Compact fluorescent and 100W for Incandescent kits.
Solatube Ventilation Add-On Kit: (Roof Vent Cap sold separately): The Solatube 160DS is available with an optional Ventilation Add-On Kit designed for exceptional style and performance. Combined with this innovative accessory, the 2-in-1 ceiling fixture minimizes ceiling penetrations for a more attractive look. Proprietary technology uses twin fan motors with opposing rotations to overcome static pressure and increase the speed and volume of airflow. The in-line fan motors can be mounted away from the ceiling fixtures for quieter performance. Blends with any decor.
Solatube Daylight Dimmer: (Dimmer switch sold separately): You don’t need 100% of the light 100% of the time. The innovative Solatube Daylight Dimmer easily controls the amount of light desired in any room from a Solatube skylight. Designed for maximum comfort and ease of use, adjust the desired light level from the convenience of a switch.
Solatube Thermal Insulation Panel: In Cold Climates the thermal insulation panel keeps cold out to reduce heat loss and in warm climates, prevents heat build up wich improves energy efficiency and reduces cooling loads.
Warm effects Lense: The ideal way to make any room feel cozier and more welcoming! This lens lets you turn the natural sunlight coming in into a soft, warm glow that’s super comforting.
