PolyWhey Floor Finish is a water-based wood finish made from whey protein, offering superior durability, fast drying, and low VOC emissions for interior wood floors.

It’s ideal for interior bare wood floors and previously stained or varnished hardwood flooring surfaces.

Formulated with renewable agricultural ingredients, it’s USDA Certified Biobased, has ultra-low VOCs, and contains no California Prop 65-listed chemicals.

Three coats are recommended for maximum durability and a smooth, professional finish.

Each coat dries in 1–2 hours under normal conditions. Full cure is achieved in seven days.

Yes. PolyWhey Floor Finish is available in Matte, Satin, and Semi-Gloss sheens.

One gallon covers approximately 500–600 square feet, depending on wood porosity and application method.

No. This formula enhances the natural grain and color of wood without yellowing over time.

Use a brush or paint pad. Apply thin, even coats with the grain and maintain a wet edge to avoid streaks or overlap marks.

Sanding is only necessary if more than 24 hours pass between coats. Light sanding improves adhesion and surface smoothness.

Clean the surface thoroughly, vacuum dust, and wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid using steel wool or tack cloths.

Apply between 65°F–80°F with 40–60% relative humidity. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme conditions.

Cleanup is simple with soap and warm water—no harsh solvents required.

Yes. It has a neutral odor, no harsh fumes, and is safe for use in homes with children and pets once dry.

Keep in a dry place. Do not freeze. Shelf life is 12 months from date of manufacture.
