Receiving and Storage
Remove the kit from its shipping box as soon as it arrives. Unfold the top of the bag to allow airflow and ensure the filter patch is not blocked—this is essential for proper gas exchange and healthy growth.
Fruiting blocks are best used within one week of delivery. If needed, they can be stored in the refrigerator for up to six months before use.
Growing Instructions
Mushroom fruiting is triggered by changes in environmental conditions, including humidity, light, temperature, and fresh air exchange.
For best results, use a controlled environment such as a fruiting chamber (e.g., monotub or Martha tent). This helps reduce contamination risk and improves success rates.

Preparing Your Block
Unfold the top of the bag to create space for airflow and confirm the filter patch is unobstructed.
How to Initiate Fruiting
Cut a small 2–3 inch slit near the top of the bag, just below the seam, and place the block upright in your fruiting chamber. Allow mushrooms to begin pinning inside the bag.
If pinning is slow, refrigerate the sealed block for about 8 hours, then return it to the chamber.
Once pinning begins, remove the top of the bag, leaving about 4 inches of plastic above the block’s sides. Place it back in the fruiting chamber and allow it to grow until ready for harvest.
