Marmoleum MCT natural flooring brings together the beauty of forbo tile flooring and the performance buyers expect from durable, low-maintenance linoleum tile flooring. Made for everyday commercial and residential use, marmoleum mct offers a natural, resilient surface with timeless design appeal and the practical benefits of easy care, dimensional stability, and glue-down installation.
Why Choose Marmoleum MCT ?
Forbo Marmoleum tile is a natural linoleum solution made from renewable ingredients, including linseed oil, rosin binders, wood flour, limestone, and pigments. That composition gives forbo marmoleum tile and forbo marmoleum tiles a strong reputation for sustainability, hygiene, and long-term value. The factory finish helps protect the surface and supports easier daily cleaning, which makes this product a smart choice for busy spaces where appearance matters.
Natural benefits
Bio-based composition with no phthalates, no plasticisers, and no mineral oil.
Durable finish designed to help resist scuffs, scratches, and stains.
A versatile tile format that works well in kitchens, offices, corridors, and other high-traffic areas.
Design and performance
Classic forbo tiles with a modern feel.
A dependable linoleum flooring tile option for projects that need beauty and practicality.
A strong alternative to synthetic linoleum vinyl tile products for shoppers seeking a more natural surface.
Installation and Adhesive
Marmoleum MCT is designed for glue-down installation on approved substrates, and Forbo notes that the tiles should be installed into wet adhesive for proper bonding. If you are comparing installation methods and asking can you lay linoleum over tile, the short answer is that it may be possible in some situations, but the existing tile must be sound, smooth, and suitable for the intended flooring system; substrate prep and adhesive choice matter more than shortcuts. For best results, use an approved adhesive for linoleum tiles or the adhesive specified by the manufacturer for Marmoleum tile installations.
Installation notes
Subfloors should be clean, smooth, sound, and permanently dry.
Forbo installation guidance lists approved adhesive options such as Sustain 1195, Sustain 100, and Forbo 660 for MCT installations.
Installers should follow the adhesive technical data sheets and the recommended trowel size for the specific product being used.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning linoleum tile is straightforward when you use the right routine. For day-to-day care, sweep or vacuum loose dirt, then mop with a damp microfiber mop and a neutral cleaner so you do not over-wet the floor. Forbo also recommends periodic maintenance with pH-neutral products to preserve appearance and keep the finish looking even over time.
Care tips
Remove dust and grit regularly to reduce surface wear.
Use a damp mop, not a soaking wet one, when cleaning linoleum tile.
Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals that can dull the finish.
Best Uses
Marmoleum MCT works well anywhere you want the look of linoleum floor tiles with the durability of a dependable glue-down product. It is especially appealing for kitchens, hospitality settings, healthcare spaces, retail areas, and linoleum bathroom floor tiles where moisture resistance, easy maintenance, and a clean, natural aesthetic are important. For a project that needs elegant, practical, and sustainable flooring, forbo mct is a strong choice.
Forbo Marmoleum MCT Natural Flooring can be easily installed. We recommend using a notched trowel and applying Forbo Sustain 1195 Sheet and Tile Adhesive to your floor. It's very important when installing Forbo Marmoleum MCT Natural flooring that your floor is level, free from debris, and up to moisture specifications before applying the material.

I chose to remove the original kitchen floor with linoleum after doing a lot of research. I have a lot of allergies so I like to keep things clean & environmentally safe. I read up on how to keep my new floor clean and found your product. It's so easy to use and my floor looks just as nice as it did when it was installed.
I’m increasing the depth of the attic insulation. I needed a way to seal against air flow around the fourteen ceiling recessed can light fixtures. I found these online and decided to purchase them rather than try and fabricate something on my own.
Ordering was easy and they arrived quickly and intact. They are well constructed and air tight.
I was able to make cuts where necessary to have the covers sit flush with the sheet rock. I used Great Stuff sealing foam to attach and seal around the covers. I allowed a day for the foam to set, the covers are securely attached and seal around the light fixtures.
The cost, quality and convenience of these covers made this job much easier than trying to fabricate a cover on my own. I highly recommend them!
This was such an easy order and install with a reasonable price. I ordered and the product arrived in 2 days. The install was exact to measurements with no need for another pair of hands. I only wish they offered a few trim options to match what is installed in the house.
Versatile adhesive for multiple types of surfaces - metal, wood, lime/concrete and plastics
I've used Duralink-50 for many years, and we just went through a case of it finishing our owner-built home. It's very versatile and one of the rare adhesives that case affix almost anything.
We just used it to seal/connect metal roofing panels used as ceiling panels, some wood, lime and cement walls, PVC pipes going through said walls, recycled rubber, and a type of poly/nylon facing.
I've also used loads of Chemlink M-1 (which is their tip top product) and am using a bunch of their Buildsecure to affix plywood subfloor. Buildsecure is very low flex - so good for things like plywood subfloor where you don't want it moving/creaking/squeaking.
In contrast, Duralink-50 is very flexible (hence the 50) and stretches beautifully. So it's useful where you require flex. Our windows edges on the outside of our metal building are sealed with Duralink-50, and are still holding up without cracking 5 years later (in Southern AZ, so that says something).
I love the stuff and the way the smell disappears quite rapidly. I use Chemlink because I don't want to use products with cancer warnings on them! Low VOC only means a product doesn't offgas much - it doesn't mean the ingredients are good. Chemlink products are safe, and they are LEED certified as well (in case you require that for a project).
