How to Inspect Your Fragile Toilet Before Signing Off On It
Before you sign off on your toilet and accept it as is, open every box, remove each piece, and thoroughly inspect all sides of the bowl and tank for any major or minor fractures in the porcelain. If you see any damage, reject the damaged pieces and keep the undamaged pieces.
Write on the Bill of Lading (BOL) that you are rejecting it because the rejected piece(s) arrived broken. If possible, take photos of the broken pieces.
Keep a copy, or take a photo of the BOL for your records before you sign it.
Email the photos of the BOL and broken pieces to Eco Building Products. This will enable us to file a claim with the carrier to cover the cost of replacing the broken pieces, as well as the shipping cost.
Notify us at Eco-Building Products as soon as you reject the pieces so we can file the claim with the carrier and ship replacements for the damaged pieces.
**If, on the rare chance, the driver will not wait for you to conduct a thorough inspection, either reject the whole order and have the carrier return with a more cooperative driver, or write in the BOL that "driver did not allow for thorough and complete inspection upon acceptance of delivery".
