Bought this to seal night stands that have manufactured wood in them. I'm very sensitive to VOCs. My husband applied two coats. He said you have to put it on fast or it removes the undercoat. He waited six hours between coats, which should be applied thinly. Didn't use much product. It did the trick, I don't smell that chemical outgassing smell any longer. Visually, you can't even tell he put it on. The shipping was $22 on a product that's $43 (I think) and only a quart. Why so much for ground shipping that took a week? Great eco-friendly company, but if Amazon had had the Satin, I would've bought it there to save $22. It's just economics.
I’m increasing the depth of the attic insulation. I needed a way to seal against air flow around the fourteen ceiling recessed can light fixtures. I found these online and decided to purchase them rather than try and fabricate something on my own.
Ordering was easy and they arrived quickly and intact. They are well constructed and air tight.
I was able to make cuts where necessary to have the covers sit flush with the sheet rock. I used Great Stuff sealing foam to attach and seal around the covers. I allowed a day for the foam to set, the covers are securely attached and seal around the light fixtures.
The cost, quality and convenience of these covers made this job much easier than trying to fabricate a cover on my own. I highly recommend them!
