 Additional Extension Tubes may be necessary to complete the run from the Top Dome on the roof to the Diffuser in the ceiling. Go here to order more extension tubes or a 0-90° degree elbow. 

Single Pack Kit Option Information

• Solatube Extension Tube Options: Bring light in from the sun with the correct tube length. 
• The no-pitch metal flashing kit does not have extension tubes. It spans only 11 inches, so your system will most likely need at least one 20" extension tube. 
• The Pitched Metal Flashing kit has two 20" extension tubes, so its extension tubes will span up to 51".  
  

• No Tubes:  This option is for those with 11" or less between the ceiling and roof. This is extremely rare. We recommend purchasing at least one 20" extension tube to make connecting the roof deck penetration and the ceiling penetration more difficult.

• Two 20" Extension Tubes (additional cost): This option is for those with a span between ceiling and roof up to 51". More Solatube Extension Tubes are available if you need to span more than 51".  

• Custom Extension Tubes (additional cost): Solatube 20" Extension Tubes and Solatube 0-90° Degree Elbow Extension Tubes
• Solatube Diffuser Options: Get the type of daylight you desire with the diffuser of your choice. The Vusion Diffuser (Included in basic kit). However, you may choose to upgrade any one of the below options:
  • JustFrost Diffuser
  • Tier Drop Diffuser
  • AuroroGlo (Bronze)
  • AuroraGlo (White)

Available Accessories for the Solatube 160DS

Solatube Light Add On Kit:  When equipped with a light add on kit, the Solatube Daylighting System provides the convenience of a switched light for night time use. Adding a light to your Solatube means you will always have the light you need. Available in Compact Fluorescent and Incandescent. Bulbs are sold separately. Light Add-on Kits do not include extension tubes. Bulbs are 23W (4-pin connector) for Compact fluorescent and 100W for Incandescent kits.

Solatube Ventilation Add-On Kit: (Roof Vent Cap sold separately):  The Solatube 160 DS is available with an optional Ventilation Add-On Kit that’s designed for exceptional style and performance. When combined with this innovative accessory, the 2-in-1 ceiling fixture minimizes ceiling penetrations for a more attractive look.  Proprietary technology utilizes twin fan motors with opposing rotations to overcome static pressure, thereby increasing the speed and volume of airflow. The in-line fan motors can be mounted away from the ceiling fixtures for quieter performance. Blends with any decor.

Solatube Daylight Dimmer: (Dimmer switch sold separately):  Because you don’t need 100% of the light 100% of the time. The innovative Solatube Daylight Dimmer easily controls the amount of light desired in any room from a Solatube skylight. Designed for maximum comfort and ease of use, adjust the desired light level from the convenience of a switch.

Solatube Thermal Insulation Panel: In Cold Climates, the thermal insulation panel keeps cold out to reduce heat loss, and in warm climates, it prevents heat buildup, which improves energy efficiency and reduces cooling loads.
