Application
Furniture and stairs:
1. Sand the surface scratch-free. Finish with screening net 100 to 150. The color intensity depends
on the sanding method used. When renovating, remove all residues from previous treatments completely
(varnish, oil, wax, etc.).
2. Vacuum thoroughly and eliminate remaining dust with Rubio Monocoat Cleaner. Wait until the surface
is completely dry (check the technical datasheet of the Cleaner before use).
3. Stir the product thoroughly and regularly with a stirring stick.
4. Apply Rubio Monocoat Precolor Easy with the Rubio Monocoat Brush. Spread it out using a red Rubio
Monocoat Scrubby Pad. Wipe it evenly with a lint-free cloth. Work in small areas to avoid
overlapping. For smaller objects and corners, you can also use the green Rubio Monocoat Mouse Pad.
5. Allow the surface to dry for approximately 12 hours. The exact drying time depends on the
foundation, moisture, temperature, and ventilation.
6. After drying, break the raised wood fibers with a red Scrubby Pad and vacuum afterward.
7. Apply Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C following the correct application instructions mentioned in the
oil's technical data sheet. When using in combination with Precolor Easy, it is best to use a white
Scrubby Pad instead of a beige or red one for applying the oil.
Floors:
1. Sand the surface scratch-free. Finish with screening net 100. The color intensity depends on the
sanding method used.
3. Tape off areas of approximately 90 cm in the lengthwise direction of the boards.
4. Stir the product thoroughly and regularly with a stirring stick.
5. Apply Rubio Monocoat Precolor Easy with a Rubio Monocoat Microfiber Pad. Ensure you use enough of
the product and cover the whole area. Afterwards, smooth out the area again with the same Microfiber
Pad. Make sure the pad is thoroughly wrung out.
6. Skip an area and repeat step 5 for the next area. Finish the whole room in this way and remove the
tape. Allow the surface to dry for approximately 12 hours.
7. Tape off the untreated areas and apply Precolor Easy as described in step 5. Repeat until the
whole floor is treated. Then remove the tape (tip: step on the already dried areas to remove the
tape).
8. Allow the surface to dry for approximately 12 hours. The exact drying time depends on the
foundation, moisture, temperature, and ventilation.
9. After drying, break the raised wood fibers with a floor polisher equipped with a red Rubio
Monocoat Pad, and vacuum afterward.
10. Apply Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C following the correct application instructions mentioned in the
oil's technical data sheet. When using in combination with Precolor Easy, it is best to use a white
Pad instead of a beige or red one for applying the oil.
