Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C is a revolutionary, plant-based, hardwax oil wood finish. As the name implies, in just one simple application you get color and protection for wood. It is used for flooring, furniture, cabinetry, millwork, and just about any wood project imaginable. Oil Plus 2C works by forming a molecular bond with the topmost fibers of the wood. This results in a durable finish with great wear-, water- and heat resistance, all while keeping the natural look and feel of the wood.
2C stands for 2-component. Part A is the oil, and Part B is an accelerant and hardener. Oil Plus 2C is 0% VOC and does not contain solvents or water. It does not produce lap lines. It is easy to apply and maintain, and can be applied to all wood types. Oil Plus 2C is available in over 50 colors, which can all be mixed to create endless color possibilities.
Rubio MonoCoat is Free of VOCs!
Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C is based on natural vegetable products without Volatile Organic Compounds. It has no effect on your indoor air quality. That means you get a non-toxic, environmentally friendly, zero-VOC wood floor finish. However, on rare occasions some chemically sensitive people may have an allergic reaction to an active ingredient.
A spectrum of 50 Rubio Monocoat colors
Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C 350ml oil finish is currently available in 50 colors, a complete array of choices to fit any design. It is okay to mix and match colors, we just recommend that you test a sample out and make sure you keep proper ratios, so you achieve the same results on the main project. Rubio Monocoat Pure is the most popular 'color', also referred to as 'clear'.
Rubio Monocoat is a Single-coat application
Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C finish adheres with the first microns of wood by molecular bonding. Rubio Monocoat Natural Oil Floor Finish can cover an average of 400 sq. ft. of floor per liter. *Please check specs for more accurate square footage coverage, it will depend on the type of wood, and some species are more pores & absorbent than others.*
Durable protection with Rubio Monocoat
The Monocoat molecular bond creates durable, long-lasting protection. This product is also extremely suitable for industrial applications, both with oxidative and UV processes. Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus Part B is accelerates the cure time of Part A. It is a hardener that is used in combination with Oil Plus 2C Part A. It reduces full cure time from 21 days to as few as just 5 days!
Without Part B, Part A cures (gets hard and durable) in about three weeks.

Cleaning and Repair of Rubio Monocoat
Ordinary Cleaning: Vacuum the floor using a soft brush attachment.
Periodic Cleaning: Floors treated with Rubio Monocoat Oil can be cleaned with water and Rubio Monocoat Natural Soap - Manufacture recommends for best maintenance & cleaning of the RM oil is to use the natural soap or the surface care spray.
Spot Cleaning: Natural Cleaner is available in a spray bottle, Natural Cleaner = Surface Care Spray.
Periodic Rejuvenation/Maintaining the oil finish: This should be done only when the "luster" of the oil finish has diminished.
Attention! It is recommended to vacuum the floor using a soft brush attachment during the first 3 weeks after the Monocoat Oil has been applied to the floor. After a period of 3 weeks, the floor can be cleaned with a mixture of water and Monocoat soap.
