Rubio Monocoat Fumed is a pre-treatment to give Oak an aged gray look and does not protect the wood. It has to be combined with Rubio Monocoat finishing products for maximum protection.
Rubio Monocoat Fumed is an innovative pretreatment product designed specifically for oak wood. This unique solution creates aged, gray-tinted effects by reacting with the natural tannic acid present in oak, resulting in a personalized and distinctive appearance for each piece of wood.

1. Sand the surface to 120/industry guidelines.
2. Vacuum the surface.
3. Shake Fumed well.
4. Apply Rubio Monocoat Fumed to the surface using an applicator pad or pump sprayer.
5. Be sure to keep a wet edge and apply enough product to ensure even coverage. Do not oversaturate the surface.
6. After 36 hours, neutralize using a rag damp with water.
7. Allow the surface to dry completely.
