I came across this website and I was looking for something that I could use to insulate my schoolie.I came to the reviews and seen how great the reviews were and said well why the heck not.The product took a while to get to my address but when I tried it for myself I would say 10 out of 10 because it's definitely insulated my bus for the very cold Winters of New York. And also super freaking easy to install for someone who has no experience installing insulation.

Franmar LEAD OUT Lead Paint Remover

If you're asking yourself, how do I remove lead paint safely, effectively, and without contaminating indoor air quality, Eco-Building Products has the solution. Franmar's LEAD OUT is a new exciting lead paint removal product that renders lead paint non-hazardous for safe removal and inexpensive disposal. Made with soybeans, Franmar LEAD OUT safe paint remover uses a special patented Molecular Bonding System or MBS® that reacts with lead at the molecular level to alter the lead compounds to a non-hazardous compound. The result is a safe, simple, affordable way to safely remove lead paint. Because the lead in the paint is converted to non-hazardous, waste disposal is easy and inexpensive.

Franmar's LEAD OUT is a powerful lead paint striper that will remove multiple layers of lead paint, latex, oil paints, enamels, varnish, and urethanes in one application and even cleans up with water or a simple degreaser such as Franmar's EMERGE. Once cleanup is complete, surfaces treated with Franmar's lead paint removal products consistently produce test results well below the EPA lead safe limits.

Test Area: Due to variances in surfaces and conditions, it is recommended to test in a small, inconspicuous area before beginning the whole project.

Mixing: Open package of stabilizer powder and mix thoroughly with Lead Paint Remover Gel. Once mixed, the product will only work for 24 hours to convert lead particles in the paint to non-hazardous.

Application: Apply a thick layer by pouring, brushing, or squeegee. Applying too thinly will cause paint removal and lead particle conversion to be incomplete. Use a scraper to check if the coating is softened down to the surface. If not, wait longer and recheck. When the coating is completely softened, remove with a scraper. Collect the converted lead coating(s) in a suitable container for disposal.

Clean Up: Remove softened coatings and LEAD OUT before final cleaning. Then use Franmars Emerge degreaserÂ or soap and water and a scrub brush, mop, or power washer. Allow the surface to dry before further preparations.

Usage Tips:

Apply about 1/16 to 1/8 inch thick.
If outdoors or in a breezy area, cover with a 2 ml or thicker plastic sheet to keep LEAD OUT wet and working.
Testing kits for lead content are usually available at hardware stores.
For heavy lead content, contact Franmar for extra activation powder.

Coverage: Coverage per square foot varies depending on the type and age of coating, number of layers and method of application. Horizontal: Average coverage is 125 sq. ft. per gallon (max 200 sq. ft. per gallon) Vertical: Average coverage is 75 sq. ft. per gallon.

Effectively removed several layers of lead paint, though remaining slimy sticky residue was hard to clean. Though to be fair we didn't buy the recommended Franmar degreaser. After some trial and error we found that Krud Kutter degreaser works well. Simple Green does not work well for this.

I like the product, I had some questions about the charge on my credit card. The person on the other end was very help and try to help me resolve the problem. The only negative about purchasing this item is the cost of the postage and shipping which was around $40 and the product was also around $40 so the total cost was around $80!
