Cork is a completely renewable resource harvested as bark from living cork trees, never harmed by the harvest. This cork flooring is composed of 100% post-industrial recycled content from wine-stopper production. Cork trees store carbon in order to regenerate their bark, and a harvested cork tree absorbs up to five times more than one that isn't. Comprised of millions of air-filled cells, corks absorbs sound, impact, stays warm and always remains resilient.

	Baltico 3 1/2" wide blocks laid out in a rectilinear brick pattern. The effect over a span of flooring is akin to a wood parquet floor or a classic travertine floor.
	Barriga A subtly topographic pattern whose relative uniformity shows off beautiful whorling cork textures while retaining a homogeneous feel for the entire floor.
	Cleopatra A dynamic and variegated pattern of that exploits the beautiful organic tapestry of the cork oak's growth pattern.
	Cleopatra Negra A more intensely contrasted version of Cleopatra. Its deep black rivulets are dramatic with vivid stains and also very effective with highly saturated stains.
	Edipo A strongly linear pattern made up of 1/2" wide continuous strips. Highly effective for accentuating linearity or introducing an exciting dynamic element to a space.
	Marmol The most traditional of cork patterns, marmol's tonal variegations and texture are subtle. It is appropriate where a more subdued floorscape is required or conversely, in designs where the use of color dominates – such as in graphic patterns or mosaics.

What is the Ultra Comfort 8mm Tile made of?

Made from post-industrial recycled cork, harvested sustainably without harming cork trees. Naturally hypoallergenic, anti-static, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal.

What are the available sizes?

Tiles come in two formats:

300mm x 300mm x 8mm (approx. 11-13/16" x 11-13/16" x 5/16")
300mm x 600mm x 8mm (approx. 11-13/16" x 23-5/8" x 5/16")

How is the tile installed?

Glue-down installation using DuroDesign adhesive. Can be finished on-site with MP765 water-based urethane or pre-finished with Hard Wax Oil.

Is the flooring comfortable underfoot?

Yes. Cork’s cellular structure provides excellent cushioning, warmth, and sound absorption—ideal for comfort and acoustics.

What finish options are available?

Choose between site-finished MP765 urethane or pre-finished Hard Wax Oil. Both finishes offer high resistance to abrasion and chemicals.

Is this flooring water-resistant?

Yes. Cork naturally repels water and humidity, making it suitable for most residential and commercial spaces—though not recommended for high-moisture areas like bathrooms.

How many design options are available?

Available in 104 colors and 6 natural patterns. Custom coloring is also available by special order.

Is the product sustainable and LEED compliant?

Absolutely. Cork is a renewable resource, and the tiles are made from recycled content. Fully LEED® compliant.

How do I maintain the flooring?

Easy to clean with regular sweeping and damp mopping. Refinish with two coats of MP765 urethane or re-oil as needed for long-term durability.

What warranty is offered?

Includes a 5-year renewable finish warranty for normal wear and tear.

Can I install this flooring in high-moisture areas like bathrooms?

No. Installation is not recommended in bathrooms or any area with high moisture concentration.

How should I acclimate the cork tiles before installation?

Allow tiles to acclimate on-site for at least 48 hours. Maintain a temperature of 70°F (21°C) and relative humidity between 30–50%.

What subfloor conditions are required?

Subfloors must be sound, clean, dry, level, and flat with no more than 1/8" variation over 10'. Moisture content must not exceed 14%.

Can I install over concrete or plywood?

Yes. Both are acceptable if properly prepared. Concrete must be cured for at least 28 days and meet ASTM moisture standards. Plywood should be underlayment-grade and free of voids.

What tools are needed for installation?

Tape measure, chalk line, utility knife, j-roller, 75–100 lb roller, short nap roller, synthetic pad applicator, and supplied adhesive and varnish.

How do I lay out the floor before installation?

Use a chalk line to establish a straight guide parallel to the longest wall. Stagger joints for 12" x 24" tiles to mimic brickwork.

How is the adhesive applied?

Apply water-based contact adhesive with a short nap roller. Let dry for at least 60 minutes until translucent and glossy. Never install tiles on wet adhesive.

How are the tiles installed?

Align tiles carefully along the chalk line and press firmly once positioned. Use a j-roller for edges and a 100 lb roller for final adhesion. Fill gaps with color-matched caulk or tinted wood filler.

How is the urethane varnish applied?

Catalyze MP765 varnish before use. Apply four thin coats with a synthetic pad applicator—never a roller. Allow 2–3 hours drying between coats and overnight drying before use.

What is the recommended maintenance routine?

Sweep and vacuum regularly. Damp mop with diluted hardwood floor cleaner. Avoid oil soaps, wax, and buffing machines. Use mats and furniture protectors.

What warranty is provided?

5-year renewable finish warranty for normal wear and tear, contingent on following the refinishing schedule.
