Solatube’s Stylish, Low-profile Ventilation Design
The Solatube Ventilation Add-On Kit for the Solatube 160DS Skylight Kit is designed for exceptional style and performance. When the 160DS is combined with this innovative accessory, the 2-in-1 ceiling fixture minimizes ceiling penetrations for a more attractive look.
Proprietary technology uses twin fan motor with opposing rotation to overcome static pressure and increase speed and volume of airflow.
In-line fan motor can be mounted away from ceiling fixture for quieter performance. Blends with any decor.
Solatube recommends 4″ insulated ducting for the installation of the ventilation kit. (Ducting sold separately.)
Note that the ventilation add-on kit does not have a SOMES rating, as the motor will be near the roof and thus the decibel level will be dependent upon the distance from the roof to the ceiling, as well as the acoustic properties of the ceiling and the space to be daylighted/vented.
