Sealin' Hatch Insulated Knee-Wall Attic Door

The Sealin' Hatch Knee-Wall Attic Access Door comes completely assembled. The insulated attic access panel system is specifically designed to save the builder and homeowner time, energy, and money when building or remodeling. The Knee-Wall Attic Access Door is made specifically for easy occasional through-the-wall attic access.

The Sealin' Hatch Insulated Knee-Wall Attic Access Door installs into a rectangular opening in your attic knee-wall, between and mounted to wall studs. Pre-built out-of-the-box just insert it into the properly sized opening, and screw through the trim and drywall and into the studs.

To enter the attic, remove the screws and remove the insulated panel. After exiting the attic, slide the insulated panel back into the opening and re-insert the screws.  This design is a cost-effective solution for occasional/maintenance access to your attic, rather than frequent access.

Note

The Knee-Wall Attic Access Door is a one-piece product intended for periodic, infrequent access - specifically for access for maintenance and inspections. Four screws are included for fastening it to the wall studs between which it is inserted. To gain access, the screws are removed and then refastened afterward. This attic access door is not intended for frequent/regular access such as for storage. (On the other hand, the ceiling hatch is a two-piece product with gravity providing the closure, and thus lends itself to more frequent access.)
